Yippee it's Wednesday

Also known as "Hump Day" ---

So, it's Wednesday, i've been (meaning since Friday of last week) getting up at 5 am and going to the gym. I've been really proud of myself. Once I get there I've been doing 20-30 minutes of cardio to get my day going and it's been fantastic! However, today the alarm went off at 5 and I hit snooze. The alarm went off at 5:09 and I said forget it i'm not getting up today. I reset the alarm to go off at 6 (mentally I thought the extra 45 or so minutes of sleep would be great). I rolled over and laid there half awake. I'm not sure I even fell asleep again - maybe briefly - then the alarm went off at 6 - and the sloth that I am hit the snooze button AGAIN! 6:09 the alarm goes off and I roll out of bed. I'm frustrated because I didn't get the extra hour of sleep I hoped for and disappointed because I didn't get up and go to the gym in the first place. And worst of all, I have no one to blame but myself. However, as of this moment I refuse to feel ill about it any longer - I will not beat myself up over it - I simply will be more committed to getting up in the morning and taking my butt to the gym.

Now the yippee part - my family and I have found a church that we enjoy {let me rephrase that, my husband, daughter and myself - my step-daughter didn't go with us this past weekend} and we are going to go to the Wednesday night dinner and classes - and I am really excited.

More yippee - S's first soccer game is Friday night, so we are one day closer to that. Soccer practice is tomorrow night (which she is excited about, and excitement spreads) so that's cool.

The little one gets to spend the weekend with her dad this weekend and that's pretty cool - it means my husbnad and I potentially can have a "date". It may be nothing more than grilling steaks and sharing a bottle of wine --- but if the weather continues as gloriously as it was yesterday afternoon and today then we could eat outside at dusk... that's romantic! As a matter of fact, the plan is formulating in my head as I type.

Speaking of the glorious weather - can I say FALL IS MY FAVORITE SEASON! I love the crisp coolness that comes - I love, after the heat of the summer, the first morning (like today) where you walk outside and it's actually cool not muggy and oppressive. I love the fact that the leaves turn colors - pretty much one of my favorite color palettes... yum!
